I am … a textile artist. It all started with hiking trips and exploring the back country that inspired photos that inspired paintings that demanded texture. That is when I got out the sewing machine.
Self Taught From a young person to today, I continue to look for solutions for creatively “doing it myself.” Whether I am sewing, doing embroidery, cross-stitch, watercolor or acrylic paintings, and even photography; they are all in the mix.
To see where I am exhibiting my textile art next, click the art tent picture. The art show list is updated frequently.
Location
I live in central Florida. My home studio is where the artwork is created. My home overlooks a canal and every lovely morning I sit on the back porch and watch wrens, bluebirds, limpkins, cranes, herons, lizards or ducks play. Occasionally, there are anhingas, crows, alligators, squirrels, oppossum or raccoons. When not on the back porch, I am in my studio creating more art for you.
Commissions
I can create custom work to your photo. However, that is handled selectively as not all photos or subjects are good candidates for my version of textile art. Email your requests and questions, please.
